Building Project Coordinator
Job Description: This position supports and works closely with project management to create comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budgets and timeframes for industrial construction projects.
Essential job duties include:
- Participate in project design meetings and propose value added improvements
- Manage the project schedule according to established priorities, changes, work order specifications, availability of labor, material, equipment, etc.
- Proactively evaluate potential problems and technical matters and propose solutions
- Proactively manage risk as it relates to financial impact to the project in any form.
- Effectively communicate risks, changes, adjustments, potential conflicts, etc.
- Plan and implement team goals, project schedules and new information
- Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track
- Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
- Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails.
- Communicate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
- Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-savings measures.
Experience: 2+ years’ project management experience in commercial or industrial construction preferred. Contract management and design experience strongly preferred.
Education: 4 year degree in construction or design or equivalent experience.
Travel: Work to be performed on site at VW Scout Plant, Blythewood, South Carolina
Location: Near Columbia, South Carolina
